Telehealth psychiatric care anywhere in New York State
Steadfast Psychiatry offers online psychiatric evaluation and medication management for eligible adults who are physically located in New York State during their appointment. Whether you are in New York City, Westchester County, Long Island, the Hudson Valley, or another part of the state, the same virtual care model may be available when clinically appropriate.
New York City patients may connect from Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, or Staten Island. Telehealth can also be an option for adults in areas such as Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and nearby communities. These examples describe the statewide telehealth service area, not in-person office locations or separate local practices.
Who is eligible for an appointment?
Before scheduling, review these requirements:
- Age: Steadfast Psychiatry currently focuses on adults aged 18 and older.
- Appointment location: You must be physically located in New York State at the time of each clinical telehealth visit. Living in New York or having a New York mailing address alone does not satisfy this requirement while you are traveling elsewhere.
- Clinical fit: Outpatient virtual treatment must be suitable for your symptoms, medical needs, safety, and ability to participate in care. A visit may result in referral to in-person care or a higher level of treatment.
- Benefits and payment: Your exact insurance plan must be checked for participation and telehealth benefits, or self-pay arrangements must be confirmed before care.
- Technology and privacy: A reliable internet connection and a private setting are recommended. Be prepared to confirm your location and provide a way to reach you if a connection is interrupted.
Eligibility is determined individually; the availability of a booking time does not itself guarantee that Steadfast Psychiatry can accept or treat a particular patient.
What New York telehealth visits include
Initial psychiatric evaluation: Daniel Georges, PMHNP-BC, discusses current concerns, symptom patterns, functioning, medical and psychiatric history, past medication experiences, and treatment goals. The evaluation may include further screening or the recommendation to coordinate with another clinician when clinically indicated.
Medication management follow-up: Subsequent visits review symptom change, response to medication where prescribed, potential adverse effects, sleep, functioning, and shared next steps. Treatment might include medication adjustments, behavioral recommendations, and coordination with a therapist. No particular diagnosis, medication, or controlled-substance prescription is guaranteed.

Insurance and fees for New York telehealth
The practice's published list includes potential insurance networks such as Aetna, Cigna, Anthem/Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield New York, Carelon, UnitedHealthcare/Optum, Oxford, Oscar, and certain Highmark New York networks. Plan names do not guarantee in-network eligibility or a covered visit. Network participation and member benefits must be verified for each patient.
Current posted self-pay prices are $350 for an initial evaluation and $150 for a follow-up. Sliding-scale pricing may be considered by prior agreement, not automatically. Steadfast Psychiatry does not currently accept Medicare or Medicaid. For the full plan list, self-pay terms, and benefit-verification checklist, visit Insurance & Fees.

Frequently asked questions
Can I book from New Jersey or another state?
If you are physically outside New York during the clinical appointment, the practice's current New York-only telehealth service does not cover that visit. If you will be located in New York, individual clinical and payer eligibility still need confirmation.
Does a New York insurance card mean I am eligible?
No. Eligibility depends on your physical location, the care setting, the provider's participation in your specific plan, and whether the visit is clinically suitable.
Do you offer in-person office appointments in NYC or elsewhere?
This page advertises telehealth care. It does not represent an in-person office in any borough or city.
What if my treatment needs urgent attention?
This website and routine scheduling are not emergency services. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room. For mental health crisis support in the United States, call or text 988.
Is an ADHD or other medication guaranteed?
No. Prescriptions are issued only when clinically appropriate after assessment and in accordance with applicable requirements.
